Led by members of our coalition partners\, Catholics for Abolition in North Carolina and Amnesty International Local Group 213\, this vigil honors and uplifts all North Carolinians on death row. \nThe vigil is open to everyone\, regardless of religious affiliation. Whether you come every week or just once\, you are welcome. \nNo RSVP required. Signs may be available\, or you can bring your own.

DESCRIPTION:You are warmly invited to join NCCADP for a screening of Racist Roots\, a 25-minute film that uncovers the deep entanglement between white supremacy\, racial terror lynching\, and North Carolina’s death penalty. \nFollowing the film\, you will hear from Ed Chapman\, who was exonerated in 2008 after spending nearly 14 years wrongfully convicted on North Carolina’s death row. \nThis conversation will be moderated by NCCADP’s executive director\, Noel Nickle\, and will include time for Q&A. \nThis event is free and open to the public. \nRacist Roots is a project of the Center for Death Penalty Litigation.
