An Online Prayer Vigil & The Powerful Work of Catholics for Abolition in NC

Every month Catholics for Abolition in NC (CANC) holds an online prayer vigil to end the death penalty in North Carolina and throughout the United States. In honor of Abolition Sabbath Weekend, CANC and NCCADP invite you to join and witness in this powerful practice. Following a brief opening by Noel Nickle, NCCADP’s executive director, CANC founder Nancy J Jones will share a 15 minute non-participatory prayer vigil. We’ll then hear from Nancy a little more about how she developed the monthly vigil and answer questions from others interested in joining CANC or in creating abolition prayer vigils within other faith traditions.
