Racist Roots Film Screening and Panel Discussion at UNC School of Social Work

March 26 @ 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm

We are very excited to be hosting a Racist Roots screening and panel discussion at the UNC School of Social Work on Tuesday, March 26th from 12:30 to 2pm! “Racist Roots” is a powerful 25-minute film that reveals the North Carolina death penalty’s deep entanglement with slavery, lynching, and racism. Following the film there will be a panel discussion and Q&A. Panelists will include NCCADP Executive Director Noel Nickle and NCCADP Lived Experience Coordinator and NC death row exoneree Alfred Rivera. The event will also include a call to action to write a postcard to Gov. Cooper calling on him to commute all NC death sentences. This is a free event and all are welcome!
